Symphony of The Heart Women’s Yoga + Cacao

  • AKI KIN 122 East Main Street Norman, OK, 73069 United States (map)

Join us on Sunday, January 7th, as we create a beautiful symphony of the body and soul. We will begin with a Cacao ceremony to open our hearts, move into a Yoga flow and close with a guided meditation.

LET'S BEGIN THE JOURNEY

4 pm - Cacao ceremony with Idwegishgokwé (Both Sides of the Sky Woman) - Kristen Arambula Hernandez

When we combine Cacao with a yoga practice, our senses are heightened, we feel more grounded and we can connect more deeply within our heart space through experiencing the lasting, whole-body energy of Cacao.

In addition to the life-changing spiritual and emotional benefits of this ancient, entheogenic and sacred plant, there are multiple scientific benefits to the physical body from consuming pure Cacao.

Cacao naturally increases circulation which helps to strengthen awareness and focus while opening our hearts to feel the love that flows within us. Cacao is also a natural stimulant and can boost our natural energy.

How does Cacao open our hearts? Cacao is full of minerals such as magnesium, calcium, iron, zinc, copper, manganese, potassium and phosphorus. Magnesium is important for muscle relaxation, calming the nerves, activating enzymes that help nerve cells to mobilize stored energies and also acts directly on the heart. Cacao is also full of vitamins such as A, C, D, E, B-complex vitamins B1, B2, B3, and pantothenic acid.

Raw Cacao contains more antioxidants than any other plant in the world. Antioxidants purify the blood vessels allowing the arteries to become more flexible and the blood thinner as it flows through wider channels, which reduces blood pressure.

5 pm - Yoga practice and Meditation with Mila Rybakova-Eppler

Yoga is a powerful tool which can heal the body on many different levels. We start with breathing to tune in with the harmonious vibrations of our subtle body and mother Earth. Keeping the breath slow and steady we continue with the movement of the physical body. Breathing and movement creates concentration of the mind.

This Yoga practice is for all levels of practitioners, but will include different approaches, so everybody can find their depth, challenge and comfort.

Our main focus will be alignment of the spine and observing subtle sensations while holding postures. We will work on releasing tension, healing the spine and strengthening and relaxing different parts of the body. The practice will balance you to prepare for meditation.

6:15- Closing Meditation

Next, as the tension is released and the channels of the body are oriented, we will go even deeper and close with a meditation…
